Howdy!

Need some help with a project in my home. Water damaged ceiling, wall, and carpet. Have a guy who started, but I'm not happy with quality or pace. Work to be done:

-Finish drywall installation (needs to be sanded down and textured). Ceiling (4x4 area maybe). Texture and paint

-Wall section texture and paint.

-Install padding and carpet (I have both)

Not a big job per se, probably could be done in a couple days with the right person.

Would appreciate any referrals and ready to move on this ASAP.

I had him do a small job for me once and it was the worst job I've ever seen. I would not recommend him. He was never really around and not sure where he got the guys who were working for him (at that time).

Oh yeah.

There was some poster that pretty much only posted recommendations for him on this board. Haven't seen them since maybe before COVID?

T is still around, though in semi retirement now, so he doesn't do the jobs of the larger scope he used to. He does minor turnover repairs for me on short/mid term rentals. Has always done good work at a reasonable price.

Ace (Blake and the team) did a major renovation on an older rental of mine -- did a stellar job. Drywall and carpet certainly in their wheelhouse. For that size job bet they can do whatever you want - lump sum or hourly. They either internally handle it with craftsmen or line up / manage subs. He's not the cheapest, but not outrageously expensive... and it's done right + warrantied for a year. I'm using Ace again soon for a kitchen remodel on another rental.
