Farm Patch had red ones on Thursday.

However is anyone sees them in pink, please LMK.

The plant sale tomorrow (see other thread) has pink Turks cap on the list. Happy hunting!

Because of the warm days but cool nights I'm getting record fruit set on tomatoes that normally don't do well here. Hope it lasts.

I'm assuming the freeze last week smoked one of my cucumber plants. It was starting to already get some white on the edges of the leaves but after that freeze it went downhill fast. Not sure what to do with it at this point.

If you have anything green on it cut the dead stuff off. The plant is waiting for you to clean the dead atuff off

If no green. Just replant the seeds it is still way early and cucumbers will be on the vines by may 1st

I'd try to save the plant and side plant new seeds. It's still really early in the season. You can start new ones. No problem.

Anyone know where to get bulk amounts of coarse perlite locally?

Try feed stores like Steinhauser's. I got a huge ass bag of it many years ago.

Pro tip: Farm Patch has cucuzza squash seedlings for sale. Mr. Scarmardo loves them as do I. They are resistant to borers, grow like crazy, and the only downside is they need a bit of prep to cook. I love them and find them way tastier than zucchini.

They also cover a fence nicely if you want a combo food crop and something decorative.

Currently trying to see how chayote/mirliton does in that role. I'm embarrassed that I've never eaten that one.

Mirliton is not SVB resistant.

Currently looking for holy basil plants (not seeds). Have tried Farm Patch, Producers, Antique Rose Emporium, and Martha's Bloomers. If anyone sees any please let me know TIA.

I have 3 Texas Red Yuccas in a flower bed. Planted end of last summer. None of the plants have produced branched red blooms. Any tips/tricks to get them to bloom?

Could just be a matter of maturity as to why they are not blooming. Mine took several years to finally bloom after planting. Otherwise, common causes include overwatering, insufficient sunlight, over fertilization and poor soil drainage.

Howdy all! I was planning on planting out all of my seedlings this weekend, but turns out I'm not going to be able to any vegetable gardening this season. Instead of them going to waste, I'd be willing to give any or all to anyone interested. I have multiples of each of what's listed below, and they're all ready to be planted.

Tomatoes - Cherokee purple, carbon, palemeno, Principe borghese, saucy lady, super sweet 100 and sun gold. Some have some flowers forming already

Peppers - Jalapenos, habanadas, tobasco, chocolate sweet bells, Big Jim.

Eggplant - Jewel marble and black beauty.

Grew Principe Borghese once. There is no better tomato to make sun dried tomatoes from. You won't regret it.
