Metronet is now owned by T-Mobile. Try calling T-Mobile support. I have always had good response from them.

We switched to Metronet from Suddenlink recently so always curious about other's experiences.

Personal experience so far - I haven't been impressed in the least with the range. Feels like we have dead zones in the house and you have to be right by the main unit or extender to get full bars. Our master bedroom is in between both and during my mindless scrolling in bed I have less than full bars. Luckily haven't had any outages but my mom has from someone on the other end of her street having a line issue.

Having experienced two annual increases with no advance warning, Frontier is giving the same vibes too. At least the last time it happened and I threatened to cancel, they locked my rate for 3 years. I set a calendar reminder to call them again in 3 years.

Range? I didn't know metronet was wireless? Do you have your own router? I have frontier but use an eero mesh system. No issues at all with speed or range.

Idk what else to call it. These are Eero's too. App says Eero Pro 7.

Not sure what equipment you have but T-Mobile is installing Eero Mesh routers. They start with one but if you are having dead spots I would call them and request a second node.

Yep. That's the whole point of a mesh system. You can additional points wherever you need them

I sent their eero back and started using my own. That way I could use my alexa dots and echo as part of my mesh system. Wifi in my house ROCKS now.

so here's what has been going on in my neighborhood-

Metronet has been here for a few years, no issues......until the last 2 weeks. Frontier is bringing a competing fiber into our neighborhood and using Housley Communications to install the fiber. They have in the last 2 weeks hit my house feed twice, destroyed my sprinklers, got three of my neighbors feeds and hit a sewer line. Each time there is a sustained service disruption. Metronet/Tmobile's customer service sucks, at least their call centers do, their field hands have been great, but it takes 10+ hours on the phone to get anyone to come out. "Reset your router and wait 2 minutes again sir" for hours, then when you ask to speak to a manager you get the next ding a ling at the call center who tells you to reboot your equipment AGAIN.

Starlink. Works at home; worked in El Salvador; worked in Big Bend; works on my moving car at 80. The world has changed.

No issues with Frontier whatsoever. Glad we switched from SL. I was told upfront that the bill would increase after a year and just to call and they would lower notes no problem. The bill increased and I called and was able to lock in for 5 years at even a cheaper rate. Others that have Frontier have said their experience has been the same way - a good one. I guess maybe whoever signed you up, possibly didn't go over those things with you, not sure. But def no complaints on our end

Optimum has been great lately.
Any time there is an outage, I get calls and texts about the outage and updates on them.

Never thought I'd defend them but they actually have improved quite a bit.

I called to cancel and the guy would literally not let me cancel. 45 minute phone call. He said they'll just give me 3 months free and by then they'll have fiber in my area and I can stay with them. He would not let me cancel no matter what I said. I don't know what else I could have told the guy.
