FYI for anyone that has been wanting to get TSA pre check but did not want to drive to Houston or Austin, Easterwood airport has appointments June 9-12.

you can also renew online now instead of in person which is awesome!
This is great, Just curious, if the local post office can give "interviews" for passports, what is stopping TSA from doing the "interviews" on a regular basis?

Because TSA doesn't have someone sitting in our airport to do this. There's not enough traffic to warrant that.

where can you get this done around here? I think I got it done in a small town last time.

We scheduled ours on one of our outbound flights home at the airport we were leaving from. Just got there a little early and we were done in about 30 mins tops. Pretty simple.

TSA pre check is every 5 years. Passport is every 10 years for adults and 5 years for minors 15 and under.
I also agree with above that having Global Entry interviews at Easterwood, even if once or twice a year, would be amazing.

You only have to do global entry once in person, then just renew it online. I just did mine and received the new card within a week.
In case you don't know it, you can also get appointments to sign up for TSA Pre-Check at Office Depots in the larger cities. The closest ones to BCS that do it are in Conroe, The Woodlands, Tomball, and Cypress.
