Safety (e.g., police, fire, etc.)
Infrastructure keeping up with growth.
Get out of buying properties for any business purposes & quickly dump Macy's.
Stay out of any vanity or resume-building projects.
Get a new City Manager.
Keep taxes down & stop spending millions on things that aren't on the list above.

Replacing the City Manager
My number one priority would be to push the Terafab deal forward. All the Macy's-type issues go away.
Number two would have to be the monorail .

I would love to see a level playing field for all who do business in our once fair city. The city codes as crazy as they are need to be enforced on everyone the same no matter who you are or who you might have supported in an election.
I would love to see some training for our Mayor and council on when and under what circumstances they should recuse themselves from a vote.

Ensuring safety is the primary concern for any local Mayor.
Infrastructure poses a significant challenge for CoCS due to the limited capacity for expansion.
Acquiring properties is a practice of CoCS, whereas Bryan mayors typically lease properties for just $1 annually.
While it may be a lofty request, vanity projects are unlikely to materialize.
It is essential to inform the City Manager: "Engaging in foolish actions could jeopardize your position."
Maintaining low taxes is, regrettably, an unrealistic aspiration.
Single member districts.

I'd like Mayor Yancy to lead the effort to get one of the minor league hockey teams for the new Houston or Austin NHL team.

You must have missed where I said, "Get a new City Manager."
The big ones for me Mayor Yancey needs to address:
#1 Replace the city manager.
#2 Lower taxes and ease barriers for home construction remodeling etc.If the TeraFab thing goes through, I would bet Grimes County is going to make it really easy to build and live there.

This is a 2030 initiative. We are doming Kyle Field first.

If there is any serious chance of getting a minor league hockey team with the new NHL team, those discussions and that plan needs to be put together now.
