My wife and kids said they had never seen so many cops
They were at the light on Harvey headed west, a couple cars back and the getaway vehicle turned in front of them, north on the access road towards university

Luckily the fleeing suspects plan to unleash an evasive U-turn was thwarted by the raised median.
Shooting at cops means even police departments with restrictive pursuit policies can keep chasing.

An arrest report now says the driver was being stopped for traffic violations: No registration, no insurance, passenger wearing no seatbelt.

According to the court records in Corsicana, Jason Aitken has previously been to prison three times (eight years, fifteen years and thirty years, and was on parole at the time of the shooting). He's facing 25 to 99 years or life for his current charges.

Thank you so much to our political overlords and wonderful judiciary for allowing these people to continuously prey on us citizens. We really enjoy the crime, car thefts, burglaries, bar brawls and whatever else we have to put up with while you allow these animals through your revolving door justice system.

How the heck was he out already? He doesn't look that old…
His first sentence was for possession of drugs with intent to distribute and felon in possession of a firearm, his second sentence was for possession of drugs with intent to distribute, and his third sentence was for evading arrest with a vehicle and theft between $20,000 and $100,000, so none of his sentences were for aggravated offenses (if he was convicted of an aggravated offense, he would have had to serve at least half of his sentence).

But what if they're praying ON others? That can get uncomfortable.
Sierra Bricker was released today on a $400 personal recognizance bond for not wearing a seatbelt and had to pay a $186 fine, and Jason Aitken's bond is $500,000 for aggravated assault on a public servant, $100,000 for felon in possession of a firearm, $100,000 for evading arrest in a vehicle, and he's being held without bond for violating his parole.
