I have a variety of small-medium sized house projects that combined together equals a larger sized remodeling project. Looking for recommendations in B/CS of either siding/carpenter contractors or handymen/remodel folks. Open to piecing it together myself or having one person coordinate the whole thing...
1960's era house with combination of wood and brick exterior. Newish roof from 5 years ago.
My garage door header/lintel is rotting for unclear reasons. We have been discussing closing in the garage for a long time and now seems like the appropriate moment to get quotes on the conversion and adding some windows to the area at the same time. Obviously we also need to figure out where the rot came from as I haven't found the water/leak.
At the same time there are a few areas on another part of the house where the flashing wasn't installed well previously and has resulted in water intrusion. While I was up on the roof I also noticed the chimney brick needs some attention to the mortar (? tuck-pointing is the term I think?)
So basically looking for a little bit of all the exterior trades or open to doing each portion individually. I have a fair amount of experience with interior remodeling myself, but outside of painting I don't typically mess with exterior stuff. Appreciate any recommendations/referrals!! Will x-post on Home Improvement board as well.
