I don't do fakebook, so no clue how to imbed a link. But the improprieties I mentioned previously are finally being exposed.

A request was made for copies of financial records and voting records from the league which was refused. The regional folks stepped in and said it was required that the information was to be provided, and again this was refused. So on March 5th a lawsuit was filed. Since then Bryan Sills has avoided the process server and ignored attempts to contact him.

The fall election was an absolute ****show, where the league essentially denied anyone new the ability to run for a board seat and retained the same folks. The coaches that were running to take over were forced out and told they were not able to coach this season. We have since left and gone elsewhere, along with quite a few other families.

It's just little league. This is supposed to be for the kids. There shouldn't be this kind of drama. Hopefully the truth comes out and the league can continue on with new leadership. We shall see.

Coached at both Pony and KALL.

I believe Sills is a Harris County Juvenile Probation Officer. He must have some connections w/ County officials for as long he's lasted.

I didn't have much problem w/ him and thought he was a reasonable guy. Much easier to deal w/ than old Harold at Pony. However when they didn't replace the netting for several years, I became suspicious. All you had to do was walk a couple hundred yards to KNLL and see how much better their facility was.

The last team I coached, I put together a team in the Fall senior league consisting my son and some of his HS team mates. Five of them and Sills filled in the rest of the roster w/ several kids still in middle school. We just wanted a couple games a week to keep sharp for the Spring HS season. We did pretty well, but Sills had his own team of ringers most likely consisting of kids he'd recruited from probation. I think at least a couple of them were 19-20yrs old.

I found out that the next spring he did away with the senior league age limit. Turned it into basically an adult league. This was 4yrs ago. Not sure what the current situation is.

One thing to keep in mind. Pony, KALL, and KNLL lease the field and facilities from Harris County. The leagues are responsible for field and facility maintenance. Early on, I was told the county prohibited sponsor signage But it appears at least at Pony, they've relaxed that prohibition.

I started umpiring mostly select ball for a few years. I trained w/ a guy at Lamar Little League and did some games there. Place is night and day better.

It's good for the story to finally be picked up by the news.

With Fulshear Little League on the verge of opening up, I would imagine KALL is going to continue to suffer with this public press, and the rising options around it.

Are we talking about Harold Bennett? As in Coach Bennett, the old trainer at KHS? IIRC, he and Dick "Car Parts" Tribe started Katy Pony in the late 80s... he's still around?

Yep. I don't think he's still around cause I've heard the board has turned over. Not sure as it's been 5-6 yrs since I've been involved.

He also was involved w/ HLSR as a medic/trainer for many years.

I liked Harold, but he also was a PITA. Probably why they fired him from HLSR...

KPRC 2 also found that one of the individuals listed as a director on the league's IRS Form 990, Mandi Ramey, pleaded guilty to a theft charge in 2012 and was placed on deferred adjudication.
According to court documents, Ramey overpaid a vendor nearly $200,000 at a trucking company she was working for in hopes of beginning a romantic relationship with him.

The documents state she deposited some of those payments into her personal bank account.

Ramey was sentenced to 10 years of probation. Ramey is the wife of the league's president, Bryan Sills.
