Experience went as well as I had hoped. Consult visit, he didn't introduce himself as "Dr. Stocks", but just his first name. Maybe docs do that more now, but first time I experienced it, so I immediately got a good impression. After quickly realizing we had a mutual interest in pro sports teams, we talked sports for about 20 min before even talking about the procedure. At the end I did have to drop my shorts, but only bc of a couple questions I asked. Had I not asked, wouldn't have had to.

Procedure itself, couple of ouch moments, but it went smooth. No issues. We chatted sports through the procedure which only took 15-20 minutes once started. The laughing gas was a trip! Never had it before. When they said it would take just a couple minutes, yeah it hit hard! Crazy how quickly it wears off almost instantly after removing the mask.

Post procedure, the typical swelling and bruising. Definitely had the "I just got kicked in the nuts" sensation for the remainder of the day, but improved some with just basic ibuprofen and icing. Never needed the prescriptions. After about 48 hours, didn't need ibuprofen at all.

I would highly recommend Dr. Stocks to anyone needing the procedure. Office staff was great also and waiting times were minimal.

Was this all done the same day or did you come back for the procedure.

My oldest is starting TAMUG next week so figure I don't need another newborn.

Not same day. I had the consult on Monday last week then procedure was this past Tuesday.

Yes. Just a small puncture. The area is numbed first.

The doc and I talked sports the whole time.

It was done so quickly, I was like, "That was it?"

I do not recommend this place. They are horrible with follow up. The doctor takes no responsibility for his screw ups. I posted about this place after having mine done. The day of, they were several hours late and also forgot to give me pain meds pre-procedure. I started having issues from the surgery a few months later and they were zero help. Just kept trying to sell me crap. Considering a reversal.

Had mine recently and it was 30 minutes in & out as I did the initial consult the same day. I opted for nitrous and they just shot was lidocaine into the boys w/ an air device.

Wondering what issues you had after the procedure.

Getting trimmed was the best thing that's happened to my wife and I's sechs life. No more worries or thinking about the calendar mid stroke.

The what sucked was was my doc required someone to be there to drive you home, and since my wife is a teacher and was pregnant, she couldn't take me, my dad was in Canada for work, so I had to swallow my pride and ask my mom. Boy, was she the waiting room's comedian while we were out there and showing a side of her I never wanted to see.

But by far, the most awkward thing was going in to give the sample at the clinic to make sure the doc was competent. Hot nurses and receptionist, complete with a leather chair and a nurse to walk me through the porn and which ones were her favorite. Then there's the internal struggle of how long is proper to be in there? Don't want to be a minute man and rushing out in couple of minutes, but simultaneously, you don't want to be the pervert in there too long watching all of the porn.

Ha, I was able to drive myself and refused a ride from my wife.
