Been probably a decade since attending anything at Toyota ... is the parking garage a clusterF getting out of after an event these days, or better to just park on a surface lot?

Went to a concert there last fall. Leaving the garage wasn't the greatest, but I've experienced worse. At Smart Financial, for example.

I usually park at the Avenida garage for anything at Toyota or Minute Maid and never have an issue leaving the area.

Street parking on the 59 side of the garage if you can get a spot.

Also parked in the Savarece (sp?) boxing gym lot and paid some dude and walked a couple blocks.

Went to a Rockets game a couple of weeks ago on a week night and parked right across the street in front. I don't remember the cost, but it sure was easy.

Depends on the event. Garage isn't bad for a Rockets weeknight game.

If it's a concert, I'd probably rather park somewhere else than negotiate a garage packed with concert goers.

Yeah it's gonna be a bunch of sh*theads after a concert - figure I'll pay for a surface lot or even throw it at Hilton, or pregame in EaDo and catch an uber but I don't really want to get stabbed afterwards

If I'm smart I'll just uber the entire night

When I used to work downtown we'd always park at the GreenStreet garage (think House of Blues). A few blocks of a walk, and never had any problems.

We went there for Metallica and another time for AC/DC. No problems getting out of the garage that's right across the street after either.
