This summers heat has been so mild so far I absolutely love it. I've been able to work outside essentially all day for a month straight and it hasn't been killing me. I wish every summer was like this.

for real! 2/3 through July and it's been better than usual. 2021 was worse starting in May, and 2023 was where we had something like 45 days of triple digits.

I'm still mowing my yard like it's May; still growing nicely.

The climate doomsayers have put up their lube for now but I'm sure they'll be ready to start fapping furiously this week if it gets dryer and hotter!

This is the big project that's been taking me forever. Big front porch overhaul. From bare concrete and white columns to cedar and travertine. Rain every day, while helping keep things cool, has been absolutely brutal on my completion timeline. Either way, I'm more thankful for the cool wx than annoyed about the rain, that's for sure. Don't mind the incomplete yard maintenance, ive let the rest of the property fall by the wayside.

Drive to ballpark last night was brutal. Standing water on 45, stretches where you can't see more than a few cars in front. Waze at one point told me to take Elgin. I knew better than to see that underpass. Death trap.
