I graduated in 2024 and lived at home for about a year in Dallas. I just accepted a job offer in Houston but not too sure on good places to live/rent in your early to mid 20s. Any suggestions?

In all honesty, don't live anywhere near where you work then unless you like to get your **** stolen at least once a month.rogbappe said:
Sorry, I'm going to be working near George Bush airport.
Kind of depends on what bars in what neighborhoods. I have friends I still hang out with just from hanging out in the same places for years and years. Wild crazy party bars/clubs, maybe not so much. But laid back places where most people live in or grew up in the area, it's a little easier to at least make some casual friends to do things with.Quote:
I don't think bars are the way to go to meet people in Houston.

Nice map. I'd suggest the heights either roommates.
I'm not familiar where the local talent is these days.Sea Speed said:
I was in this exact area today and every female I saw walking around was ass ugly and that was very uncharacteristic from my time living there.
You're wanting Clear Lake. Just a 30 minute drive.rogbappe said:

Spring Branch...relatively affordable, cool bars, amazing food options, not obnoxious crime or traffic. Hop on Beltway 8 and you'll be going mostly against traffic at least in the mornings. You probably don't want to live anywhere north of Spring Branch area if in your 20's and looking to meet girls/friends.rogbappe said:

The dirty branch has a nice area, that a new grad can't afford. The dirty branch has a **** area, that a new grad doesn't want.Butcher of Bakersfield said:
Maybe I am just old and lame now, but I'd probably be all over renting in Spring Branch if I was coming out of school now. It's close enough in town, but I'm assuming it's a lot cheaper. So much cool stuff that wasn't there when I was growing up too.
I am sure there are still maybe some deals to be had in and around Oak Forest as well? That's a great area/location as well.
I gave him that recommendation with only N Dirty Branch in mind. A lot of which is pretty middle of the road, rental wise.Gaeilge said:The dirty branch has a nice area, that a new grad can't afford. The dirty branch has a **** area, that a new grad doesn't want.Butcher of Bakersfield said:
