The Smith family Aggie tradition began when Wilburn Smith enrolled in the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas in the fall 1956. He was at A&M for the Bear Bryant glory days and fully indoctrinated his younger brothers.

After he graduated in 1960, his four younger brothers continued the tradition he established. Doyle, class of '67, and Larrry, class of '69, both returned to A&M and completed their degrees after serving in Vietnam. They were followed by their younger brothers Eddie class of '71 and finally Marlin class of '73.

The tradition didn't end there!

In the 52 years since the youngest Smith brother graduated from Texas A&M, there have been 17 additional family members at A&M. Eight Aggie graduates from the 2nd generation and four from the 3rd group with 6 more currently enrolled. Twenty-three total Aggies dating back to the start in 1956!

The Smith Aggie family story continues! We're anxious to hear yours!
