The FAA link does not indicate any cabin crew. Perhaps a FA on a business jet though would be listed as Pax?

It's odd how little coverage this seems to be getting on the Houston news.

Miya Shay has been posting on Twitter about it quite a bit. Seems she's actually trying to find out information and reporting on it.

Aside from her politics, IMO, she's a really good local reporter. A year or two ago, she was reporting on water main breaks that the city isn't fixing, and I responded to one of her Twitter posts about one near my office that has been gushing water for a couple of months. She responded and asked the approximate address so she could add it to her report. A week or so later, the city was out fixing it.

They're also huge NIL funders/organizers for tu athletics. But agree they're relatively low profile, which is a nice change from the social media *****ing lawyers, some of whom frequently post photos on planes that may or may not even be theirs.

Is it? Is this group well known? I'd never heard of them before this thread was started yesterday.

If you've driven to downtown down Memorial, you've seen their building/sign right before Wescott.

Evenstill, anytime there's a big event anywhere around the world, the local news media is rushing around trying to find some way to make a Houston connection, and this is a local firm's plane, so you'd typically expect it to be top news. I guess temps dipping down into the 20's for a few hours is a bigger story.

Seeing how it happened 2 days ago now, the news cycle has moved on. Perhaps if they were more known to the general public, the local news could have milked more out of it. I'm still seeing articles about it popup on social media from the chron so its still getting some coverage.

Is it really? 99% of Houstonians wouldn't know or care who these people are. These are high society folks and unless you're in the legal profession, there's no reason for people to pay attention to them.

I've seen A&I claim they've settled $20 billion in settlements/suits.

Are they a "bigger" firm than Buzbee in a somewhat similar metric?
MAS444

Very similar. Similarly succesful, although younger and about twice the # of lawyers (and probably cases). They're also very involved in mass torts...much more so than Buzbee, I think. They got their start in much the same way as Buzbee...big firm and clerking for Sam Kent. They kind of followed his script. And are very smart, hard working and succesful.

Unless you run or are employed by a business in this town (especially the energy sector) and are subject to being sued by them, or find yourself in the court of one of the judges they have helped place/keep on the bench. Or care about the direction of local politics on both sides of the aisle. Which is a ton of people.

I get that the deaths of a lawyer and her small entourage aren't particularly news worthy. But to say there is no reason to pay attention to them is too simplistic.

I'd guess A&I has made more, but impossible to know for sure which lawyer has made more money overall.

and both got their start with the same crooked federal judge down in galveston.

I was wondering how they made there money. I get being a lawyer is a good profession, but having your name on the scoreboard at UT, owning a private jet capable of flying to France, etc.....Thats pretty damn lofty.

This board isn't representative of the Houston population as a whole. The odds of Tine board posters or their employers being directly impacted by Harris County courts or local politics is better than 50%, or are you that naive?

That said, this is stupid to argue about.

If your company is getting sued so much you know the lawyers, might be time to look for work somewhere else.

Honest question....when getting will/trust stuff going one lawyer mentioned she had a post-nuptial as her husband was in a profession that was constantly getting sued. I wanted to ask but she had just mentioned that he had died recently.

Down right evil thinks to the internet. Its a bad economy and unsettled political environment, but the internet is purposely whipping it into a frenzy and normal decorum is gone.

Job losses and extreme inflation leading to hard times on the lower and middle classes aren't doing anyone any favors regardless if they are under reported. One end of the spectrum is pretending it's business as usual. The other trying to make it the equivalent of "let them eat cake" French revolution.

Reality is in the middle, but definitely not prosperous or stable by normal standards for most of us. Those most effected now get to lash out with anonymity on the internet. TexAgs isn't immune either.

Or have observed local news try to tie every big national story to Houston.

"Coming up next, we speak with leaders within Houston's Israeli and Palestinian communities to see how the unrest in Gaza is impacting their communities."

"A child has fallen down a well in Hazen, MT. How a Houston family is helping in the rescue efforts."

"A popular adult film star who recently passed away...We talk to her Houston area plastic surgeon next..."
