Good point. I missed that. If they had called that section "the plains" or something like that, then I think that works.

If you are from Odessa, Abilene is not West Texas. If you are from Dallas, Abilene is West Texas.

I grew up there 50's, 60's and 70's. COming out of Dallas on I-20, I always felt like you hit West Texas when you went up Rsnger Hill.
