Thanks, I was actually coming back to update that I did just what you suggested and found the above BaT listing. I also saw it sold last year or was for sale last year in Colorado for $22.5k which is more in line with what I would have assumed it was worth. Someone paying $40k on BaT seems bat **** crazy to me, but I am not a member of the cult, yet.

I also called about the vehicle this morning and got only an answering machine and no call backs, no replies to several emails, and in general was ghosted probably because I led with a request to work out alternative payment arrangements because I was concerned about transferring money and never receiving the vehicle.

This seemed too good to be true, and it was. Thanks for everyone's input.
