That's pretty funny. It almost looks like a 77 but its definitely a defender.

I assume they just threw the prompt into an AI image generator.

I doubt they have the authority to sell licensed Toyota stuff, probably just a hobbyist. Jeep sent me a cease and desist letter for a couple of the ones I made a few years ago.

Would Duggy be the recommended place to get the timing belt done in a LC100 in Houston? It's not due yet, but might as well get it done.


Started it up this weekend and it sputtered a bit and ran tough. Cyl 2 misfire. Ordered Denso (OEM) plugs and coil and will replace those before digging into the rest of it.

apologies if im distracting but ive got an white 07 gx with 205,000 on it if anyone is interested

bad news: some cracks in the dash (common) and i replaced the radio with a grom vline then the grom gave out and so i just threw a bluetooth screen on top of the dash.

good news: got all service records, brakes/suspension bags/radiator/AC compressor all been replaced in past few years at my local shop (happy to give you their contact info). frame is in good shape with little to no rust. inside is in great condition (dirty but that's cause of kids ill get it detailed). also have the original manual from purchase and the original tool kit. original paint is in good shape (no peeling) with a couple of chips here and there.

anyhoo. ive loved this car but it's time to move on. will probably see what i can get from carmax/gimmethevin/etc to keep from having to deal with the facebook crazies but if there's someone out there interested in a project car or diving into the prado world let me know. would love for it to go to someone who's gonna chop it up and off road it.

Tbh I'm a bit up in the air. If i go down the pathway of Facebook marketplace I'll probably list it at 8 and see what happens but the gx sites are always so snooty about what you list stuff at.

For an ag/and or someone who's gonna do stuff with it I'll cut a solid deal. Tbh if I end up at 6500 I'll be pretty content.

I've been driving it more and it's just such a good car and runs so dang well. But I suppose there's a season for everything and now it's time for someone else to have a turn with it.

Do you have any pictures you can email me? I'll also be visiting my family in Leander for Easter and plan to be back the last weekend of April. I love my first generation Tacoma and it just rolled over 250k miles this past weekend. I told myself at 250k miles its time to semi-retire her and get a more capable Toyota!
