It is weird for a few minutes, but if you are used to driving a manual, you get used to it really quick.

In response to OP, my buddy's Dad had one in HS. Really high end BMW back then. His threw pistons. Like catastrophic engine failure obviously. Got a new engine by BMW and he sold it. At the time he said it was a common failure. Never looked at one since.

No clue if that is true or not.

I have one. It only takes a few minutes after not driving it for a while. I still get the turn signal/wipers mixed up everytime I drive it though.

The 959 is a maintenance nightmare. Spend a ton to keep it driving.

That was sold off price for that car. I would have expected that to go north of $1M easily.
