Hey all:

My truck started throwing a couple of codes this week and isn't running all that great. It runs fine when cruising at speed around town, but has issues when accelerating. Curious if anyone has had these issues or knows what may be going on. I'm concerned about the repair costs as I'm now at 67k miles, just outside of the 60k warranty.

Below are the two error messages I am getting on my Ford app, I haven't been by a diagnostic shop to get the actual codes yet.

• The engine control system is detecting an erratic signal from one of the engine timing sensors. This may prevent the engine from starting. If this fault occurs while the engine is running, the engine Start/Stop feature may not be active.
• The engine control system is detecting an electrical fault with the wiring from the engine timing sensor. This may prevent the engine from starting.

Any ideas what this may be and repair I'm looking at? I've noticed at times when I first get going from a stop there's a lot of rattling now. It goes away once the truck shifts into the next gear. Speaking of shifting, I've noticed if I give the truck more gas than usual to get up and going it's slow to get going and isn't wanting to shift gears until I let off accelerator.

Could be a damaged wire on a knock sensor.

Sounds like some of the same error codes and symptoms my truck had at the peak of my oil consumption issue with the same year/engine.

Got the codes: P0345 and P0390.

From what I've seen online it could be as simple as an oil change, and my truck is due one. I'll change the oil tonight and see if that fixes the issue. Otherwise O'Reilly said they have the part for $60.

Did you have luck with the oil change and clearing the codes? Running into the exact same issue now. Changed my oil last night and am clearing the codes today.
