Nice car and great to see some still driving manual's. I like the color and performance.
As an engineer I can agree that in today's age there is zero practical reason to drive a manual. I was born in the 70's and when first driving it was valid to say a manual could be faster performing and get better gas mileage, less maintenance and more reliable too. That is no longer necessarily the case.
However, it is engaging and feels fun - to some of us anyway, perhaps based on your age and driving history. I've had many manuals over the years but around 2019 I thought maybe I was done having one as a daily driver and went auto. I had a few autos as daily drivers before, mostly SUV's - never had a auto sedan, was always a manual sedan guy. But starting 2019 I went 5 years with auto sedans as dailies and had a couple cheap manual 2 door's over that time for weekend drives. Last year I went back to a manual sedan and thought maybe I would regret it, but I've enjoyed it and no regrets. Just commuting or putting around I don't even notice it's a manual, it's a brainless activity after so many years of driving. But if trying to drive fast and have fun, I do appreciate the engaging video game feel of a manual still. I know it is slower than the auto version of the same car and gets worse gas mileage to boot.
Enjoy your car!
