Need to replace my sons fuel pump on his truck. I know most drop the fuel tank but his is 3/4 full. Anyone just remove the bolts on the bed to get to the pump at the top of the fuel tank? Seems it would be easier and quicker.

What year? I did this on a 2006. Pretty easy job. Back under a tree branch & lift the bed off the truck. I think you just have to remove the tail lights & 4 bed bots. Check out YouTube for a quick tutorial for your year model. Don't forget to blow off the top of the gas tank before you take the old pump out.
