Ford is doing its best to replace Stellantis as the crappiest vehicle manufacturer. This year, they have a 60 some recall lead on number 2, Forest River RV.

I just don't understand why American automakers STILL won't take reliability seriously. This kind of crap has to be killing their profits. Slow learners.

I still have another recall I'm waiting on the fix for on my 22 F150. Or maybe they have it now but I haven't had it done… can't remember.

Wonder if the fix will be like their earlier diesel one... with a software fix for a mechanical issue. All brands have issues, Ford's ability to not actually fix anything and kick the can down the road has always been impressive.

My 2021 F150 Powerboost had a failed fuel pump at 35,9xy miles. Exact same issue. Thankfully covered under warranty.

Can't remember the other fuel system part that failed less than 10,000 miles later but it was deemed "not related". Outside of warranty.

That truck was a mechanical ticking time bomb piece of *****

I'd verify they didnt reinstall another recalled fuel pump.

And yet people on this board go nuts over them and defend them like it's their favorite kid.

Aren't there old threads picking on Chevy and GM for recalls, with lots CLOL emojis?

All truck manufactures right now suck. The last great vehicle was the Tundra with the 5.7 but she gone now and new ones suck.

Most people, myself included, just stick to the brand they're familiar with and not everyone has the same amount of problems, if any with them.

My first thought when I read the title was,"Ford makes that many propane vehicles?" Then I read the article.

The Titan carried on another three years after the Second Generation Tundra. Its reliability was superior to Ram/Ford/GM.

The MFER's at Ford need to issue a recall on the Powerstroke Diesel trucks with the CP4 high pressure fuel pump, aka ticking time bomb. My 2016 F-250 with the 6.7L is currently at STP Diesel in Houston for a fuel system rebuild including the DCR pump conversion kit.
I am not the Six Million Dollar Man, but I might need that surgery. "We have the technology, we can rebuild him!"

You're not getting a recall on a 9-10 year old vehicle, man.

Why? Other manufacturers do it. I have an open recalls on two 10+ year old cars. On one of them, in addition to the recall, the manufacturer provided a 10yr unlimited mile extended warranty for the component.

I think the CP4 pump blowing up is a safety issue no different than the 6.2L engines locking up due to rod bearings.

Ford was 1st in recalls in 2022 and 2023. That is now job #1 for Ford - to be on top of the recall list.

88 so far in 2025 - good for first place so far.

The fuel pump issue has been a know problem for years, but Ford wouldn't issue a recall. A lot of the Bronco guys got stranded out in the middle of the woods, with some on technical trails. Consensus was to take an extra fuel pump with you if going way off road or on difficult trails.

Dang… my 2000 excursion is looking more and more reliable compared to these new cars… and I got 10 spark plugs that could blow out at any moment
