Any one done one lately? or awhile ago with pros/cons?

Seems like you can go $2300-$2400 for high end, $1500 for middle, and $700-900 for Amazon Chins type stuff.

This is for a 48V/105 setup.

I bought an eco battery 48v/105 from Golf Cart King out of Austin in 2023. Did the install in my garage with some help from youtube. You aren't really going to get any increase in top end speed, but the battery is significantly lighter than lead acid batteries, so it does "get up and go" a little quicker. Haven't really tested the range on the battery, but I have never come close to running it down. I didn't think the install was that difficult, but also consider myself fairly handy.

You can get some money for your old lead acid batteries. I took mine to Bryan Iron and Metal and I think they gave me $50-$60.

Can't speak to longevity since I've only had it a couple years, but so far so good.

I did the Roypow and have been happy with it. I also upgraded the controller and top speed went from 18 to 35mph.

Did you just replace the controller or the motor as well? What controller did you go with? Would love to get a little more speed out of mine.

My buddy just did lithium with an Amazon setup (48v) for $829. I think the brand was DC House. He is happy with it

I'm gonna be doing it on my 48v Club Car DS probably later this year once my lead acids finally die.

Thanks

I'm usually a buy once, cry once type, but all of the metal case ones look the same and probably are with varying price points/marketing etc

Was looking at vatrer, dchouse, and clouds energy, they seem middle of the road

I bought from Epoch about 15 months ago. Recently it had a low cell. Hadto email with support a bunch. Eventually, they had me leave it plugged in and untouched for a couple days and the cell charged up. Haven't put it to much of a test since then. They were responsive to my calls and emails, which was nice. Hope it was just a thing and not the start of something.

Alltrax XCT500, but if I were doing it today, I would use an AC conversion kit instead for the increased torque. Mine flies on level ground, but bogs down on a hill when loaded with people.

We did the same thing as ags2007 a little over a year ago. The guy we bought it from explained how to install. It was extremely easy. So far we have been loving it. The thing I really like is even though the battery is discharging while using it, you do not feel any loss in power. We are easily getting at least 30 miles on a single charge. Maybe more.

Haven't done a golf cart but swapped all my boat trolling and electronics over earlier this year. I used Miller Tech batteries. Been great so far.

I bought sealed lead-acid batteries (no adding water) about three years ago and they may already be crapping out. I paid quite a bit extra for the sealed ones and am pissed that I only got three years out of them. I'm concerned about lithium batteries because of the risk of fires. Our cart is parked in an attached garage. What do you guys know about fire risk for current generation lithium golf cart batteries?

from what I have read regarding the fires, most problems are leaving them plugged in for extended periods of time and using the wrong type of charger that is not compatible with the particular battery

Did this swap on my Club Car Tempo a couple of months ago. I went with Ecobattery with onboard charger. Maybe picked up a couple MPH at the top end going from 21-24/25. Installation was fairly easy. I watched a few YouTube videos and installed by myself in about 2.5-3 hours. Happy with it so far.

I'm over 5 years with Trojan.
But I watch them monthly and top off with distilled. 2 years ago I had some issues and fully drained and refilled all 6 and all good.

I thought all swaps required an LS7 on this board?
