It's a nice engine in the 1500, assuming same for the Yukon.

We are at about 15,000 miles now. Gas mileage about 23.5

Got the LZO in a suburban high country, fantastic engine with enough juice to get up and go. Did CO and back and got around 24 mpg cruising 80. Gets 2-3 Mpg better if you cruise at 75 instead. Could have convinced my wife on the AT4 if they didn't have god-awful looking rims. Got the trailer setup fixed, but haven't left town with it to say how it tows yet. Only complaints are some of the screen and tech stuff has had some cellular connectivity and app issues that required some resetting, but it's smoothed out now. Also, the DPF regen occurs way more frequently than anticipated and there's zero alert that it's occurring. The exhaust sound is muted and it's difficult to hear the higher idle. Only tell is reduced MPG. Only dash indicator is if you install a banks system or a Bluetooth OBD module with CarPlay connectivity. Only regret on what we purchased is I wish we got the air ride suspension. Absolutely love it though!

I did some research on this and it sounds like the air ride suspension is amazing, when it works. But it has a short life/reliability issues and is an expensive fix.

Which is exactly why I didn't go with it, but there are spots where I've reconsidered whether it was the right call. I'm wondering if airbags for towing would be a sufficient way of making up for it. Also on the high country, it was either pay for the high country deluxe or not, which included the rear seat entertainment, which we did not want due to tons of friends having them and they get cracked by kids hitting them when getting in and out. Plus power deployable running boards (same issues as the airbags) and advanced security package.

I'm not sure if there was much change between the LM2 and LZO in regen frequency and DEF usage, however, I've been tracking mine since we bought an LM2 Suburban last month. I filled up the DEF tank at a Buccees and didn't refill until 3800 miles later. That included about 1000 miles of towing our RV. Gauge still indicated we had a 1/4 tank left when I filled it (no warning light), so I didn't think that was terrible considering how much towing we did. I've heard some folks mention the high usage when towing but it didn't seem crazy to me. Then again I don't know what kind of baseline figures people are expecting, and you never know what sort of driving habits people have when they give out numbers.

Now that school is about to start back up, my wife will be short tripping a lot around town dropping kids off and going to her teaching job. So I'll be curious how that affects DEF usage, but if it stays at a 4-5k mile interval then I'm good with it.

I haven't tracked DEF usage, but a full tank lasts a long time. Thousands of miles. The cost of DEF with this engine is insignificant.

Regen frequency is around 300 miles for me on my normal commute. If towing or long highway trips, I have been over 600 miles between regens. I installed the Banks gauge specifically so I know when to expect a regen cycle.

Have an AT4. My lifetime MPG over 42000 miles is 23.4
