This gives some history on how they brought the plant to Arlington when there was noting there, the public/private teamwork it took to create the reservoir and build the toll road to serve it, some of the cool vehicles they built there over the years and how they outcompeted a plant in Michigan to stay open in '91.

Nice find! I went on a field trip there sometime around 1990-91. They were making Buick Roadmasters and/or Chevy Caprices. I remember watching a lady do nothing but screw in headlight assemblies as each car moved down the line to her station and wondered if she got really bored.

Very neat find. Would like to see similar ones for GD/Lockheed, Bell, etc for the area.

Here's one of my favorite plant tours. I've been in the Austin one multiple times and I'll still amazed at these facilities.
