And a super cool car. Think those things were like 1700lbs. Aluminum frames if I recall correctly. Too lazy to confirm.

An old boss of mine had one he bought used back maybe 15 years ago. He said when he put it on Jack Stands it would tripod if the floor wasn't level because the car was so stiff. I always thought that was cool. Working under it in that condition would be spooky if not ill advised. I probably would have shimmed one of the jack stands up to take up the slack.
Very cool and truly beautiful car! Congrats to you.

Meh, I put a 986 Boxster on jackstands to work on it. If suspension is that stiff, it will work itself out under load.
It takes multiple lifts with a low profile long reach floor jack. And I use pinned jackstands.

Are you just going to park it in a warehouse like the previous owners?
No. I am going to put it in a small collectors garage in Arkansas and drive it a couple thousand miles a year.

I would like to see pics of this, if you don't mind. (I believe you; I just like to see these kinds of setups especially with something as pretty unique as this)

The jack stand tripoding had nothing to do with the suspension being stiff, the unit body "frame" was so stiff the weight of the car would not make one corner sag enough to contact the 4th jack stand unless the floor was level.

My 911 frame doesn't "sag." A stiff frame is ideal to place on jackstands. Know your jack points and support points. Its not complicated on any vehicle.
