As far as pricing, compare comps on auto trader or cars.co., or any of the other internet sale listing sites. Things like KBB values or Edmunds could also be useful.

Or if you don't want to hassle with all that, carvana or car max will offer to buy it from you. Very easy, provide them 8-10 pictures, detail the particulars and they email you an offer. When they come they will do a cursory check to.make sure you were accurate and then they drive away after handing you a check.

We've had good experiences with Carmax. Have sold two cars to them. One of them was my FIL's after he couldn't drive anymore.

It's very easy with little hassle and I thought the price given was quite fair. More than I expected in both cases, actually.

I price checked with Carmax and Carvana and went with Give me the Vin since they will beat your highest offer. I dropped the car off with one of their buyers, they printed me a check on the spot and paid for my Uber home.

Something like that would be ideal for a high school or college student.

Sold three cars in the last year here on Texags. All three deals were easy and fair for both sides. Not generally a fan of the private sale hassle, but Texags is a little different and was well worth the time.

TexAgs Classifieds

This is almost a vetted customer base since it's not exposed to general public like Marketplace or Craigslist or something

I've sold guitars and some other stuff

I've bought small stuff all the way up to buying a car

Post it on this site. It will sell

Well, my role as son in law 's "sell the damn car" project has become a family discussion matter, meaning nothing will happen until the other children agree. They are taking advantage of the fact that i really don't care, so I will sell it on texags whenever everyone agrees that it needs to be sold. Thank you for the help and suggestions. It is appreciated.
