What have you done to your truck that you like and you'd recommend to other people? Can be cheap or expensive. Just always looking for cool ideas.

So far on my 2023 Ram 2500
- Air Bags with remote inflation to level when towing
- Bright LED lights under back bumper for hooking up boat or camper at night
- Uniden radar detector (the new ones are pretty badass)
- roll up bed cover
- over bed rack to put paddle boards, bikes, etc
- Weathertech floor mats

Dash cam that doesn't look like trash (but is relatively expensive):

Phone holder that charges wirelessly while I'm driving, doesn't block my AC vent, and allows me to enter an address or send a quick text without having to pull over and put it in park.

Also have a set of craigslist offroad wheels and tires to go with the road wheels and tires that came with the truck. Tires make such a big difference that I like having the road set most of the time and the offroad set the few times a year when I'm actually off road.

For most it will not be a good decision but if your use case is correct

I can lock up expensive things behind the locked tailgate and actually get my hands on what I am looking for. I also have some bikes, electric carts etc, that still fit in the back and can be tied down and accessible. But as I said before, I think this is not for most truck people. If you put sand, dirt, large amounts of anything don't buy it.

Exhaust upgrade of your choosing. I put on a bolt-on kit from Rough Country for about $600 on my '23 Trail Boss Custom. I'm a fan of the note: mean at cold start and when putting my foot in it but refined enough to ferry my wife around without in-cab droning.

Next up for me is a range tuner and leveling kit. Although, does anyone know if a leveling kit voids a GMC protection plan?

I want to turn my Tundra into something "inspired by" the truck from back to the future. I have been in love with that truck from the moment I saw it back then.

I'll do some things over the next couple of years to get there. I asked AI to show me what it might look like, it didn't disappoint. Haha

I've been meaning to start a post on this for my truck but it will be a lot. 2015 Silverado rolled a cam lobe and decided to do a performance rebuild. Here's the parts.
Tick stage 2 211/219 593/594 kit shout out to Silvy for helping so much
Corsa boxed cold air intake
Texas speed long tube headers
Catless y pipe
Michigan motor sports rockers
Heads reworked
New valves
Borla S type exhaust
Circle D 2800 stall
Steel 500+ drive shaft
Pro tune
20 50 285 aftermarket lighter rims and tires
Big ass two core radiators from cold case
transmission built for 500+ horsepower
Currently setting at 550 at the crank and 481 at the wheel. Not bad for a little 5.3

2019 Raptor
Goosetune
Removed intake silencers and added blow off valve
Those made it more fun to drive and much smoother getting rid of the incredibly bad stock TCU programming.

From aesthetics POV, really just an old Valentine One mirror mounted with a mirror wire tap.

My favorite truck mod ever was the Roush Supercharger on my former 2016 F150 5.0L. RIP

Not sure I recommend doing this mod but it turned out really nice (x-posted in Nerdery 3D printing thread):

My wife didn't like opening her F150's tailgate to plug things into the 7.2kw ProPower outlet and wanted an outlet in the bumper.

I started planning this at the beginning of the year and purchased a replacement power panel so I could take it apart and have it at my desk while I reverse engineered a new cover.

Having a spare also means I can swap it back if there are any warranty claims.

Here is a pic of the outlet box viewed looking up at it from under the bed, just aft of the wheel well.

This pick shows the back of the bumper where I decided to mount the L14-30 outlet.

And here is a pic of a guide I printed for my hole saw since the center bit in the hole saw wasn't going into metal and I was afraid of the edge of the hole saw getting a bite of metal and losing control of it and gouging up the bumper.

Here's a pic of the L14-30 outlet. It basically looks OEM when closed.

Here is the backside as installed.

This sleeve goes over the backside of the outlet so none of the terminals are exposed. It also keeps most of the water and dust off the back of the outlet.

Now we start getting into the fun part. I designed a new cover for the outlet box to bring a new wire into the box.

This is an earlier version in white so the details are a bit easier to see.

I made the new box 10mm deeper to accommodate some wago connectors inside. These snap in but are a bit tighter than I like.

This is the 240v 30A receptacle on the circuit board inside the outlet box.

And here is the plug that goes in it. I was able to find that plug on Mouser and built a custom connector to feed the wago connectors since the original connector wire were too short to reach.

This next pic is a bit embarrassing but it shows the new box wired up before I screwed it shut. I really wish I had the wago connectors located differently so I could make the wiring a bit cleaner but this is a 15 hour print and I didn't want to wait another day for a tweak that may still not provide much improvement.

And here is the box installed in the truck. It barely fits through the mounting hole in the bed so there is still lots of room for improvement.
