Understanding this is a first world problem, 986 Boxster with just over 100k miles needs a timiing job on both banks. Driver side 6 deviation and passenger side 9 deviation. Anything greater than 4 is out of spec. Passenger bank throws a code and rightly so. Probably too big of a job for me. Tough to do with engine in. Can't get it high enough to drop the engine and a highly technical job to remove the cams. Likely a $4k to $6k job at a shop.

Oil leak from RMS? Do brake work myself. AC would go to the shop but will tackle the blend door issue myself.

I'm not able to do any work myself. I knew maintenance costs would be high when I agreed to take the car. My dad keeps telling me I can trade it, if I want, but I'd rather keep it.

Reminder I need to sell my Porsche. I never drive it and it's taking up a garage space.

PDK started in 2009MY (maybe late 2008)

I do too largely. Pulling cams and timing exceeds my comfort level. I have watched enough Jake Raby videos to know something could go amiss easily on that job.

Found it at a Mitsubishi dealership will 8,000 miles on it. Got a great deal. Here's a pic at the dealership. Got some wear on it since then. But still very good.

Thats a PDK. Still a manual guy, but that PDK is really a nice transmission if you understand what it does.

And it shifts faster than us manual guys. Calling it an auto transmission is technically not correct either, but we understand that sentiment.
