Any Lexus dealers not forcing dealer add ons down your throat preferably in DFW area?

Panning to go up there but they advertise add ons when looking at their website. They also do it at their BMW dealer when we last purchased my wife a vehicle and they were non negotiable then.

Bought a cpo from park place at the end of the year. Pretty good experience. No forced addons. May be different on new.

Bought a TX from Sewell a few weeks ago and I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a new Lexus. They had a few required add ons (tint, paint protection, wheel locks) and he said the price was negotiable on those. I told him what I wanted to pay all-in with the add ons already installed, and he was able to meet me there. Ended up $3-4k under msrp, including the add ons.

Also, we were trading in a used car. I got the carmax price quote on the way to Sewell. Glad I did because Sewell originally offered $4k less than carmax but then matched when I showed them the offer.

Does anyone have a contact at Sewell Lexus Dallas? I have a friend that is looking to purchase a 2026 GX550. I would like to pass on a contact to him if possible.

Thanks!

Problem I have with Sewell especially on the GX is that they are charging like $15k-$20k over original MSRP on their CPOs. Crazy.

At that point I might as just give my wife the 6 month old Raptor (which she prefers) and get something different. I'm not in the business of paying $95k for a vehicle that had a sticker of $75k

I was really impressed with Sewell and will buy from them again. Picked up a used GX. It was two years ago so I don't know about their current "Add On" policy. I negotiated over the phone and no bs when I showed up in person.

There are waiting lists for the GX so your friend should get on one if he wants a GX

Sewell will low ball your trade, especially the dealers in DFW.
Often more than $5k...

I may have a 2024 Overtrail+ available shortly with less than 9k miles. Sewell currently selling one with 19k miles for $90k and I promise I'll let mine go for less than that.

I have always driven very sporty cars (last car was a Porsche Panamera turbo) but I thought I would get an SUV with a big dog and new baby. I loved the look of the GX and had a connection at the dealership to get one at MSRP despite the huge waiting list. I still love the way it looks but it turns out I really miss going fast and driving something that feels more nimble and "special".

Be sure to compare the 460. The 550 looks better, but 460 has a lot of pluses.

Other than reliability concerns with the Turbo V-6 what are the pluses in your opinion of the 460 over 550?

Have purchased at least 6 cars from Sewell over the years and have always been happy with the experiences.

On my latest purchase of a CPO GX460, I did not even consider them after a month or so of research. They were consistently listing their cars 3k, 4k, even 5k more than other dealers. The GX doesn't have a ton of variables and I did not see the point in starting the negotiations that high, even though I have contacts there.

Don't remember that being a problem in the past, but maybe it is just a thing with their Lexus store. Most of my purchases were at the Infiniti store.

Sewell is great for new cars as they don't ever sell over MSRP and the process is easy as can be, but they are typically a few grand over market on pre-owned stuff.

Wife prefers the new GX if she is getting one. She prefers the styling of it. Also has interest in the new LC but really wants to keep the massage seats function she has in her X7. Also apparently interest in the Audi Q7 / SQ7 and the Porsche Cayenne.

I'm going to keep on working the take my 6 month old Raptor approach.
