Didn't Trump say he was going to roll back CAFE requirements, or am I imagining that?

I think the rollback is coming into play with the 2027 models. That's likely why we're seeing a return of the 5.7L and the 6.6L vs the 5.3 and 6.2L. Unless they've done something radical to these engines to get the fuel numbers of their smaller displacement siblings, they're only making those offers with the eliminated CAFE numbers.

They'd better get on it before the Dems get a chance to easily block things again. I can't buy a new vehicle until the auto stop/start bs is gone. It's downright dangerous.

$100 and auto start/stop is gone for most vehicles...

I think the new engines will still have some kind of afm/dfm. A passenger screen is beyond stupid. Also most of the higher trims have huge sunroofs.

Looks pretty much like the Tahoe & Suburban do now, inside & out.

Don't be shocked when the GMC does the same thing with the Sierra.

HA! I was right.

I like the look of it, but glovebox screens are stoopid. More importantly if they didn't improve the seats I'll pass.

Level 2 trim for ram has the glovebox screen

This new Silverado looks great and all, but I'm still enjoying the mess out of my '23 Trail Boss. 71,000 miles and (knock on wood) haven't had a single hiccup.

I tend to keep/maintain trucks til the wheels fall off. Went 17 years with my last one (08 Ram).

I see. The trend of expanding screens across the entire dash is stupid and frankly dangerous.

The passenger screen is black to the driver. Totally unavailable for viewing. When we test drove a Ram I hit the power button for my wife thinking she had it off.

So the engines will still be strangled by systematic failure. Unnecessary tech that no one asked for that will probably just break... And its going to leak?

I'm sure every passenger loves a shattered screen to the face in a front end collision.

The fact that people will buy this crap is mind blowing. This is from someone that is in the market for a new truck. I had hopes for the new 27s... NOTHING in the video above sells me

Nice picture.

What happened to your 08 Ram? Those hemis were indestructible.

Tis still alive and kicking. Bro-in-law outside New Caney bought it on a family discount. Over 250k miles now. Transmission got replaced back in 2015 or so (lifetime warranty) and that's the only heavy issue it's ever had.

I just bought a 2026 GMC 2500 AT4X a bout 6 months ago. I told them I wouldnt buy it unless they sold me a c 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for 2k. Those transmissions still had some issues, not sure if these newer models are fixed? There is a $450 after market product that fixes the transmissions, however, the dealerships just fix them back to original,
