I watched the movie last night and really enjoyed the storyline. I've always been fascinated by weather, so it was great to see the process of plotting storms in real time using the tools from the 1940s.
I also loved the old D-Day footage, especially the broadcast of Eisenhower's speech used towards the end of the film. It really added to the overall atmosphere of the 1940s.
Twenty-five years ago, Damien Lewis portrayed Lt. Winters, who was preparing to jump on D-Day. Now, he takes on the role of Monty, who is determined to get his men onshore for the big show.
