The first domino after John Chavis' arrival in Aggieland has officially fallen.
Hahnville (Bouette, La.) linebacker Dwaine Thomas, identified as a potential difference-maker at the position by the Aggie staff over the course of the past few weeks, was among the many prospects that tripped to the Texas A&M campus for the big visit weekend. Kevin Sumlin, Chavis and Co. saw fit in turn to extend an offer on Saturday to the current Louisiana-Lafayette commit.
He responded by giving the Aggies his verbal almost immediately.
The 6-3, 220-pound Thomas marks A&M's 23rd commitment and fifth linebacker pledge.
