You can hit a guy "out of bounds" until a part of his body touches out of bounds. Until that point, he's still in-bounds. Refs don't always get it exactly right, but that's what they're (supposed to be) looking for.

It will be interesting to watch this one. He got killed against Georgia in the SEC champ game when they were ready for that specific run play package after seeing it against us. I doubt that's part of the game plan now.
