Cringe is a verb, not an adjective

Surely it wasn't as embarrassing as a "grown man" using the word cringe.

Maybe we just need to be better about who the yell leaders are?! Maybe more " cocky college boy" instead of girly boy

You should never get a suspension for anything. You're our favorite old man cloud yeller. A staple!aeon-ag said:firethewagonup said:

Gone are the days of hearing "FABLE' and "GET GROADY"! And what is the deal about boys doing the dosi do to Hot Time. It looks like fairies dancing in the woods!! And what's this little kick the knee up and slap the arm when telling a corny story. The yell leaders look more like male models rather that the MEN we had in the 60's! Since when did Midnight Yell Practice become so WOKE.
I'm sure I'll get a suspension for this one.

Time to say good bye to yell leaders or re-define it.
We have to move with the times.

Midnight yell has always been cringey, but it's not meant to be for the masses, and it was never supposed to be "cool". It's for Aggies to have a good time and bond over shared traditions and a football game in college station.
But now that everyone has a camera and runs to post it to the internet, we are forced to listen to everyone's outside opinion about how dorky it is, and some Aggies are allowing themselves to be embarrassed by it. Again, was never supposed to be cool, and we aren't trying to be just like every other university which annoys people
Just spitballing here.
Maybe, since camera's aren't going away and we now have a national audience, we could tailor Midnight Yell to be something that is not so cringey and embarrassing. Because it doesn't work for the intended purpose anymore.
I've been watching Lee Corso's final show and the story behind the mascot head pick, it was an idea to try something different. Does anyone actually enjoy Midnight Yell anymore? College Gameday made the CHANGE and history was made. There is an opportunity here. We, apparently, have a national audience watching to see Aggies be embarrassing and goofy, and not in a good way. But the way our administration runs the sports programs, I won't hold my breath.

Aside from the weird "I hate deaf people" rant, it's worth pointing out that the OP is a guy in his mid-50s talking about what a badass he was 30 years ago. At attending pep rallies.

Why in the hell is the sign language lady so close to the yell leaders during yell? I get it that people with hearing imparements want to enjoy the yell practice. But, why can't they put her down around the 10 yard line and , like the old days, place a bubble around her? Just so typical Aggie to do ....you know what.....the hell with it. I give up. Our school, decision making, traditions are so wacked out. The yell practice from what I watched on YouTube was hideous. Just get rid of it..... embarrassing and cringe.......we brought it back in 94..... brought it! It sucks because I get made fun of now because of the embarrassment of new army, sign language ladies, stupid acting yell leaders. U know what! Doesn't matter. 94 brought wasted yell leaders, red ass Corp, non stop push ups, fighting Texas Aggie band, red ass stories,
