Kicking (and missed) for USF in 4th Q against FL.

I wish there was a show about kids of players (non Mannings).

Remember "Automatica Grammatica" of KState fame? His kid.

90s kicker. He went to the NFL, but I remember he thought and acted like each of his kicks were game winning. And sometimes they were! (Big 12 times)

Not to say he was arrogant but had mucho enthusiasm.

Wondered if that was a relation when I heard the name.

Automatica Grammatica was from my peak college football watching years. I remember more players' names from the late 90s than I do from the last 10 years. Or last year.

He was convinced Gramatica was going to try a 71-yard field goal to beat A&M at the end of regulation in the '98 Big 12 title game.

His dad and uncle were decent kickers in the NFL. I hope the kid doesn't blow his knee out like they did while celebrating.

He did look like he had a slight limp on his left leg on the sidelines after the kick.

Wonder if there is a Gramatica Kicking Academy?

I think he is the 3rd in the Gramatica family to kick for USF.

He is insanely good. Made a few 50+ yard kicks last year including a 58 yard kick.

That's why USF had him try the long one tonight. It was the max of his range.

I think he'll play in the NFL.

He (Martin) was a soccer player in high school and didn't play football until his senior year. I read that he had a great range and accuracy in high school (and it showed at K-state). When I first saw him against the Ags in 97, my first thought was that he celebrates after his field goals like a soccer player would after scoring a goal. K-State in 97 and 98 were studs, and Gramatica was a huge part of it. Still gives me goosebumps when I think about the Big-12 championship game.

You'd think it was all genetic selection, but Ethan Hawke slipped through.
