Elko at HT was fire!!!!! Love it.
Not saying we are going 10-2+ or anything, but there is buy-in, commitment, focus and togetherness. That is more than half the battle.

I like Andrew Monaco, but his reaction to the last touchdown makes me really miss Dave South.

This show is like 75% B roll footage in slow motion with dramatic music

Monaco is awful. He gets excited on literally every play. He needs to control his inflection and only get riled up on actual big plays. A 4-yd. run up the middle is not something to get on the edge of your seat about and pretend that it's a huge play.

I agree, and the reason why I thought the episode was a complete letdown. I can watch highlights on youtube. I wanted to see more behind the scenes footage about the buildup and trip to Notre Dame.

He was EXTREMELY annoying. Over emphasis to try and make a memorable call on every play.
I'm done with the play by play guy. I don't need someone to tell me what my eyes already saw. The last good one was probably Al Michaels.
The new trend of the color guy (quarterback) giving extreme insights and background information into the game is nice. (Brady/Romo). In other words, tell me something I don't know....
The play by play is pointless. I literally just saw what happened. Quit yelling for nothing.

Andrew Monaco is one of the absolute best in the business and TAMU us VERY lucky to have him. He was at the highest levels in the NBA for a loooong time and knows every aspect of sporst broadcasting like the back of his hand.
His play-by-play is spot on and consistent, and color true but not annoying.
Compare him to others in the college game and you'll see the difference right away.
disagree. The only thing this Pulse episode didn't have that it normally has is some boring off-the-topic story about a few guys on our team. This one actually focused on everything surrounding the game, and not some irrelevant story about where so&so is from or whatever boring stuff they normally have. I wouldn't mind more behind-the-scenes before or after the game, but I appreciated the focus being on the game and not practice.AustinCountyAg said:fightintxaggie10 said:
