Real progress with this program will be shown by our record in the next 3 games.

If we beat MSU, Florida, and Arkansas in Fayetteville, there's a chance we have a good team. A chance. Mizzou has caught my eye. Their RB1 is elite. Amhad Hardy from ULM.

There's also something that worries me, and that's LeVeon Moss health. What happened when he got hurt last year, WE INSTANTLY SUCKED. As a whole. We need Marcel to be remarkable in some more of these games. I believe it can happen, but it isn't a guarantee he ever finds the deep ball in stride. It's a different team if he can.

Hear me out. Not saying we are world beaters.

I'm saying every city hosting Aggies in it everywhere will go crazy. Yell practices in fountains. Hotels dealing with crazy. You know how crazy we can get.

And we aren't even close to winning anything really.

Imagine how insane the water coolers will be if we actually are playing for a natty.

I don't think the HR departments across the country are ready for this.

I think you're giving people too much credit for giving a sheat who makes it

Hey, we are not likely to go 12-0. We are 4-0. We are favored this weekend. We are comfortably in the top 8 rankings - good for a favorable playoff seeding.

Just relax and enjoy the ride.

I highly disagree. Very few schools could get 108k to show up in the heat of a summer afternoon in September to watch their team play UTSA.

No matter our record or ranking Aggies show up and are passionate. Very very few schools can say the same. Certainly no other school in Texas. Tennessee is another fan base I can think of that seems extremely loyal.

Getting screwed out of the Playoffs in 2020 by Ohio State/ Norte Dame has already proven your point.

Edit : It's difficult to enjoy a ride without some anxiety knowing it that slaps you in the face and kicks you in the nuts in the end, at least since Johnny and the team won the Cotton Bowl in 2012.

You need to travel more. A&M has the 4th largest stadium. The next 4 are within about 1,000 seats. The next 5 are in the 90,000s. We don't have a monopoly on traditions, effort and desire to win, as shown by our last 100 years of mediocrity.

Lose 2 or less and we're in the playoff. It's truly pathetic how so many "fans" spend more time bashing their own team for irrelevant history that has nothing to do with this year instead of actually supporting them like a fan.

I disagree with this. I think it depends which two….when we lose (if we do). If we lose the last two, we are out of the top 12. If we lose two, but they are in Oct, then there's still time to make up those losses possibly.

No one is going to enjoy a ride that hasn't been that fun in over 10 years. It's a ride that slaps you in the face and kicks you in the nuts.

Wow, you have not enjoyed any Aggie football "in over 10 years?" Why are you still here?

Don't sweat it history says we will drop 3 or more games by late November and play in the Texas bowl.

The first post to threads like this is always some form of BAS drivel...

...and I always read it, shake my head, and tell myself, "they're not wrong..."

.... We just don't have that level of players and depth on D. OSU has destroyed everyone they've played since Michigan last year except tu. I just don't think we're ready to matchup to OSU or Miami......

Really? They were bogged down with Ohio 13-9 in the 3rd Quarter before pulling away.

Against Washington it was 14-6 late in the 4th Qtr, and they finished in total yds something like 350 to 230.

Not exactly "destroying" all teams to the extent that Texas A&M couldn't play with them.

This. Since they let so many teams in now, making the playoffs doesn't have the same weight as when it was just 4.

If we win our next 3 games against Mississippi State, Florida, and Arkansas, we will start 7-0 for the first time since 1994. With a likely road loss to LSU, we must win 2/3 November SEC games against Missouri (away), South Carolina (home), and Texas (away) to finish 10-2 (6-2 SEC) and make the playoffs.

We have lost 7 consecutive November or later road games dating back to a 29-19 loss at Ole Miss on 11/13/2021.

11/13/2021: 29-19 loss at 10-3 (6-2 SEC) Ole Miss
11/27/2021: 27-24 loss at 6-7 (3-5 SEC) LSU
11/12/2022: 13-10 loss at 5-7 (2-6 SEC) Auburn
11/4/2023: 38-35 loss at 11-2 (6-2 SEC) Ole Miss
11/25/2023: 42-30 loss at 10-3 (6-2 SEC) LSU
11/2/2024: 44-20 loss at 9-4 (5-3 SEC) South Carolina
11/23/2024: 43-41 4-OT loss at 5-7 (2-6 SEC) Auburn

A win over Missouri or Texas would be our first November/December road win in 5 years, but losses to both Missouri and Texas would extend our November road losing streak to 9 games and stretch into 2026.
