Those weird charcoal grey colored ones vs. LSU under Sumlin with Johnny might be the worst uniform I've ever seen us wear. So bad I'm convinced the uniforms lost that game.

I believe that was the first or second time we wore helmets with the aTm inside of the Texas logo. The helmets were awesome. The gray beeswax uniform, not so much

Say whatever you want about black out games, but what I will say is that if we are going to do it, then I highly support it being against State if we are playing them that year.

Not going to lie the maroon/white v white/maroon can get confusing

I agree with your post, but Notre Dame has been running a wide variety of alternate uniforms the last couple of years. Not sure if they've gone to black or all-black, but they've had a variety of greens, blues, and golds.

Agree.

I just wish there was a gentlemen's agreement between the two to go all-maroon and all-white at some point, because it really does become confusing.

I'm definitely in the traditionalist camp, but I also get the need to market. My only question is do uniforms, djs, lack of cheerleaders, etc. make a difference in the NIL era? I got the argument before NIL, but I would really like to know if it actually moves the needle for these kids with all the money going around.

I love alternate uniforms.

It works for Oregon even though they don't have the stuff for the playoffs, year after year. PNW is soft.
