Hate to tell you, but he doesn't care nearly as much as you guys think he does. Old man is probably snoring happily right now.

Literally his only job is to care about the prominent placement of the SEC. He has literally said one of the reasons the SEC wanted OU and tu was the RR game.

tu **** on that today lol

And the SEC is still doing well. And of course he wanted the RR game. It gets a little of eyeballs. And it still will. OU is a top 5 team.

Sankey has had tu's nuts on his chin for a few years now.

Slive was much better. Huge drop off with Sankey. He favors certain teams puts them first over the conference.

Like Dan Beebe but more weasely looking.

ETA: just went to Beebe's wiki page. I had no idea he was the one that dropped the hammer on SMU!

In 1987 he was named director of enforcement for the NCAA with his most notable case being the imposition of the "death penalty" against Southern Methodist University in the Southern Methodist University football scandal.

Now give him some truth serum and he'll tell you that Bristol made the conference insanely rich for allowing them to dump the money pit LHN. He didn't bring those two clowns on board for just one game

Listening to ESiPN/SECN constantly dropping trou and rubbing one out over sip at every opportunity is beyond nauseating. Can't wait to watch them try to polish that turd after a couple more losses

Scumbag! tu easiest schedule in the conference first 2 years, brought them in without even talking to us, backstabbed us as/when we brought it up and now continues to tell the conf office (officials, scheduling, advertising, etc) to position tu above A&M.

The biggest reason he wanted to add them was it further lined HIS pockets. He's like a CEO that engineers a huge merger that sinks both companies within 5 years but walks away with a massive windfall in the process.

I personally like us going to a 9 game SEC schedule but Sankey only did it to make scheduling easier and not having to think about it any further. And in doing so he probably screwed over the SEC overall in the scheme of things as far as playoff positioning.

Agree 100% and you kind of make my point for me.
If tu wins yesterday, gameday and ESPN are at the state fair and we'd get countless hours of shows live from Dallas pumping up the top10 match-up….exactly what espn and Sankey hoped and wanted…

Except tu **** the bed LMFAO

Sips already had a gameday against Ohio State. The crew doesnt often visit the same team 2x in one season, unless their name is tOSU, Michigan, or Clemson.

Sankey has turned into Big 10's *****. They dared him to go to a 9 game schedule knowing how tough the sec schedule already is and they somehow have a superior TV deal despite having a lesser product. Big 10 protects their top teams with only a 1-2 major in conference matchups and the rest being the bottom feeders. I'm amazed how many folks on here defend him as some kind of amazing visionary

Agreed. Sankey got f***ing worked over on the TV deal. I'm a little surprised he's not catching more grief about that from ADs and school presidents.

I think Sankey must've gotten scared that Tex/Ou were gonna make a run to join the Big 10. Only way it makes sense that all the other schools would vote them in to the conference when they weren't going to get any more money off of it.

Sankey sold it as a defensive move to keep Big 10 out of our region, and keep Big 10 from being the "premier" conference.

Not like Alabama and Georgia just had a hard on for wanting to play Texas and not get anything in return financially.

I do think he's gotten outmaneuvered hugely in tv contract negotiations, which is where all the money is at. Big 10 is smoking us and has a shorter duration on their contract so they will get to renegotiate before we do which likely means more $$$ for them.

Except the fact that gameday was at A&M twice last year (ND and t.u.)

I just can't believe our Admin didn't vote against letting them in out of protest. Our leaders are so weak.
