This team goes as far as the defense takes us. The offense has been consistently good - Auburn game perhaps being the exception but they have a really good defense and the refs in that game were … ridiculous is the only word I can come up with.
To put our offense in perspective, outside of our game Notre Dame has allowed 18 ppg. We scored 41 on them.
Like I've said multiple times, Klein's schemes are way above average. The number of wide open receivers and TEs has been impressive. But, he'll have a hard time outrunning the criticism when Rueben Owens gets slammed into the line 7x/game for 1-2 yards, and short yardage fourth downs have gone the way they've gone. In truth, a lot of the failure in the short yardage has been bad Reed reads, and if Reed hit wide open deep shots at a mere average rate, A&M is top 10 in yards per game.
