This is my favorite post every week and thanks for doing it. I played poker for a living for a year and I learned that most humans just cannot understand the math of statistics at emotional level.

The average person is going to fold AA pre flop after they lost 15 straight hands with it because "it's not working for me right now". They don't know about expected value or anything in that realm.

But I was/am just generally curious as stats were and are a favorite topic of mine.

My 300 level stat classes were a favorite of mine back in school.

And the stat studies (along with the guidance and assistance of an associate professor math professor) came in handy when I developed a predictive modeling tool for a rather large telecommunications company I was with at the time. Got a patent for it.
Was a fun project.

- Not a stupid question. Football is meant to be played outside and with factors like environment. OP has stated he tweaked his predicition based on factors beyond jimmys and joes.
