What's the real benefit to not sitting out players against Texas and playing 2's and 3's to just make sure injuries don't happen against Bama?

Especially if we think we can outscore them offensively. Maybe we rest some defenders and RBs?

I know we hate Texas. But there is more at stake here than one game.

Maybe you are correct that taking a week off has merit
We have an OOC cupcake the prior weekend
The 2's & 3's will get plenty of work against Samford. The tu game starts second season which hopefully includes Atl and a NC run Team needs to stay sharp and hungry

But an interesting thought experiment

The benefit to winning is immeasurable. Or our administration would have opposed them joining the conference vocally.
