The thing about Reed is that he puts the ball in the perfect spot on the screens and out routes near/behind the LoS nearly every single time and he delivers the ball quickly. It's actually really impressive.

It's insane how most of us kinda laughed at the idea of "Reed for Heisman" all of last season and the earlier parts of this season, but now we're at a point where it would be bizarre for us NOT to push for Reed to get the Heisman.

That in itself is indicative of Reed's insane growth as a player even during the season. What a player, 10.

He has certainly gotten better each week this year. But I think he was already really good last year. He was just limited by the play calling and the roster.

A lot of credit has to go to the WR group. We aren't having this conversation with last year's group.

Does last weeks stat line even show he made a tackle.. granted it was off his int but...

Should we let him try to kick a PAT?

If the Aggies go undefeated, Reed will be #1 or #2 in the Heisman.

He needs other teams to lose and the QBs to play poorly. I think its Ty Simpson or Mendoza by a wide margin right now

Obviously Reed having a great year on a great team, but Haynes is lighting it up, too

Happy for Haynes but he's in the ACC.

Lots of time left. It's a super weak field this year so he has a chance, but his stats and QBR are not close to what it usually takes.

Needs a couple of big stat gamesto get to 4500+ yards and 45+ tot TDs

Reeds QB decision making is off the charts good. His ability to read a defense and get the ball in the correct spot is elite.

I'd love to see Reed and King in NYC for the trophy presentation. Let's shake it up!

Watching the LSU game again, there were some runs Reed got 15 yards on the ground, plenty of green for him to grab. But if he looked up, just vertically from where he was standing (still 5yrds from LOS) there is often a WR wide TF open without a defender within 15 yards of em. Coulda taken it to the house.

I get that Klein's plan was "take what they give you", but if Reed was more committed to his arm he would have put up 400 yards through the air.

Heisman trophy has been so overhyped imo . It should be a byproduct of a great season by a great player rather than take on a life of its own. Also, especially in the playoff era it shouldn't even be voted on until the entire season is over.

His decision making is off the charts good. He knew they could run it down their throats so that's what they did.

He probably saw those opportunities but was coached, correctly, to run it. I will take a well coached kid any day.

He is an elite college QB. Only people that question that on Texags(not saying you are).

Throwing on the run is certainly something keyboard warriors talk about and have never had to do with LBs bearing down on them.

Given that he has overthrown WRs with his feet not set, Im not too sure we would trade a first down on Reed's feet for a possible incomplete, so the correct decision was made. All Im saying is that if the decision went to the air, this may have been a bigger blowout (and Reed's passing stats wouldnt look as mid compared to other Heisman candidates.)

Hot take (maybe mild take): Cashius Howell should be in consideration as well

He's still learning to be a college QB, but he needs to settle in faster. I feel like he's really juiced up at the beginning of the games. He's forcing the ball in tight spaces and he needs to get to his checkdowns faster. He's still throwing it at their feet.

Mario, KC, Roman, Bussey, and Moss make him look really good and I'm not saying that he's not, he needs to continue to develop. His 2nd half performance vs his 1st half performance in Death Valley is very telling to me; he's not afraid of making mistakes. He learns from them because he's got the right attitude.

This. It's amazing what happens when you have WRs who can run routes, and TEs who can block, run routes, AND catch the ball.

I have no doubt that Weigman would be thriving in this offense as well. Yeah, I said it.

Have you compared the stat line of Simpson, Mendoza, and Reed? I think when people actually start doing this they will be somewhat surprised to see Reed has more total yards than both. I believe Mendoza has 3 more TDs overall, but Reed is ahead of Simpson in total TDs as well. Reed wins the Heisman if we finish as undefeated SEC champs ending the year with a win at t.u. And against Bama. IMO the only way that scenario plays out and he doesn't win it is Mendoza lighting Oh St up in the Big 10 champ game.

Have you actually taken a look at Simpson and Mendozas stat line compared to Reeds? This sort of comment tells me you havnt really because those guys are not getting to your proposed Heisman mark this year either before the voting deadline.
