The way we turned it on in the second half and crushed the Tigers was a big confidence booster and that's what everyone is talking about. However, the first half was full of teaching moments for our team.

It may be especially valuable going into the bye week to be reminded that if they don't focus or play good football they will lose to lesser teams.

True but I feel like the blocked punt at ND could have been the opportunity to teach the punt team how to protect. Hopefully we don't need a third blocked punt to learn.

I think it goes back to Arkansas even. After we escaped I thought that was the best thing this team could've had happen. Gave the coaches lots of film and teaching, motivation and refocus. Overcome adversity and still get the win

At lsu, Defense played a lot better the first half. it was primarily the mental mistakes on offense/ST that got us down at the half. I'm sure the coaches

Really we had a blocked punt, an unsportsmanlike penalty on defense that extended a drive where we were off the field that resulted in an LSU TD and two picks, one that should have been an easy score for us. So plenty to go around.

The wide splits from the OL on the punts are really perplexing to me…right before they blocked it, I turned to my dad and said, "this is getting blocked" and sure enough!

Yea I don't get it. It looks like they were both shifts on the defense. For ND from the camera angle it looks like they missed the guy because they couldn't see him. LSU seems like our guy just plain whiffed.

Pretty sure our opponents are on notice and they will be coming the rest of the year. Hopefully we can get it corrected. I'm not 100% sure but I think we may be the only team in the SEC to allow a block and now we have allowed two.

From what I remember, we only had two blocking behind the LOS- the next punt we had three.

True, but without the 2 interceptions, including one in the end zone, and a blocked punt that resulted in a safety, we could have dominated LSU from start to finish. We probably would have had a 24-14 halftime lead and then cruised to a 59-21 win.

For what it's worth, that flag for unsportsmanlike conduct was suspect. So much so, they never played a reply. The only replay they showed was the play prior, where LSWho's DB pushed our #2 late and OB. This was their justification to the TV audience that the call on our guy was in response to the play prior. Even Herbie seemed perplexed.

1. It was not at all suspect.

2. They did show a replay.

3. Yes, the LSU player shoved Ricks a little bit, but Ricks reached around the referee who had gotten between him and the LSU player and popped the LSU dude in the head.

4. Ricks was darned lucky he wasn't ejected...an ejection was certainly warranted.

Speaking of penalties, anyone else notice how when Dezz made that solo tackle along the sideline on fourth and 5 in the fourth quarter, he came up barking and Albert Regis on the sideline grabbed him and gave him a bear hug and the team swarmed him? It looked like were deliberately keeping him away from picking up another penalty, but doing it in a way that was supportive and celebrating. That one made me smile about this team. They have each others' backs and keep each other accountable.
