If my memory is correct only 3 of the top 9 have won a National Championship, and one of those (Dabo) looks like he's been left behind in the NIL game. So there are a lot of schools paying $10+ million for not a lot of results so far.
Well there are only 3 active coaches that have won the National Championship.
Are they really overpaid as they've gotten their teams into the CFP, with the exception of Belicheck?

There are only 9 still living under the age of 70 - including the 3 actives. The other 6 are Jimbo (60), Urban (61), Harbaugh (61), Chizik (63), Orgeron (64), Stoops (65).
There are another 17 living older than 70 - the oldest is Gene Stallings who turned 90 this year.
