If there are football gods, and I believe we all believe there are. They can not look kindly on a coach that would abandon his team right at the moment they had a real shot at winning it all.

I can't remember anything happening like this before, absolutely wild.

No he didn't, I'm listening to his radio show now, when and where did he report this? He isn't saying it on radio right now.

I believe he's going to LSU, but I haven't seen anyone officially report it

Kiffin has figured out all kinds of ways to leave a team.

Kiffin is pulling a Schloss.

Possibly messing up his best shot at winning it all.

Hopefully recruits remember this when he's pitching them to come play for him at LSU.

So when DeBoer goes to Pedo State does Kiffin leave LSU high and dry and goto Bama?

Or is that Kirby?

Matt states that if they lose the egg bowl and he leaves the cfb committee very well might not give them the nod for the playoffs

Didn't Kirby play for Georgia? If so I doubt he'd leave.

Due to the transfer portal and recruiting needs, teams really have to get coaches as soon as possible. Doesn't surprise me that he would leave his current team hanging.

That sounds crazy but some were thinking when down to SC if we lost that game and vs the sips we could possibly be out.

10-2 SEC teams possibly out yet same pundits seem to think 9-3 sips could be in.

Kiffin is just another Leach. People gush over him because of his personality, not because of what his teams have actually done on the field. The guy has never won a championship of any kind in all of his years as a HC.

Because Louisiana is littered with elite high school talent that has a reputation for being fiercely loyal to LSU.

This DeBoer to Penn State seems to be heating up lately. If there's anything to it I bet Kiffin would desperately want Bama but...they could have hired him 2 years ago.

Curious to see who would get interim at Ole Miss and if they'd have any chance at getting it full time. Gotta think Pete Golding or Joe Judge would be interim. Does Ole Miss aim higher?

LSU before portal window, gathers recruits, leaves for texas when sark bails after portal closes and brings all his recruits during the "coaching change" portal opportunity?

Bama is not hiring a coach with a .500 record that does not embrace nil

Doesn't surprise me either, but not bc of the portal or recruiting…because he's a PoS.

I think we most definitely would have been out. Anytime a decent ranked team lost to an unranked, they were getting dropped anywhere from 8-10 spots. That would have put us around #12. Then a loss to tu would have dropped us out. It's not too hard to see that.

I mean tu was #1 to start the year and they lost to #3 and dropped 7 spots! Then 6 weeks later they lost to unranked Florida and fell completely out of the polls.

Seems likely this guy is just guessing and hoping to be right first

Is there any way that the 2-3 people that actually know are talking about it ?

They definitely would have put a 9-3 sip team ahead of us if we went 10-2. They've already proven that.

Players and coaches are loyal to thy self only.
He will win at LSU as players rotate to the highest bidder that has a history of winning.

Ol Miss is suck and will never be a real contender.

Ummm...Leach was a threat at a 3rd rate program. Consistently squeezing juice from a turnip. Tech was not destination for top recruits. Yet the autistic pirate always managed to beat quality opponents with bigger rosters and budgets. The allure of Leach is "what if he got a program with the capability to recruit?"

After his dispute with TTU and the hotshed incident he was functionally blackballed. Then he took the perennial basement program of the PAC and turned them into contenders and won the PAC COTY twice and the national COTY.

He was poised to do the same at MSST after Morehead ran the program into the ground after Dan Mullen left for Florida....until his untimely death.

Leach was desired because he got results and never had the opportunity to coach a major program, unlike Kiffin.
