Root for North Texas over Tulane Tomorrow

North Texas over Tulane is the only way I see A&M jumping Ole Miss for the 6 spot.

Right now Ole Miss is 2-1 vs the Top 25 (due to their win over #20 Tulane) and A&M is 1-1. If that's what the committee is valuing, then North Texas knocking Tulane out of the top 25 could benefit A&M.

Well, there is one other way to jump them. The committee could do their homework.

So you're right, N Texas beating Tulane is the only way.

I'm rooting for Indiana, Alabama, BYU, Duke and Tulane to win. Lets throw the whole playoffs into chaos.

Dont be shocked if that happens for Bama AND BYU to jump A&M in the seedings but tceh to still be ahead of us....

neither team should be ranked

would either be able to stay on the field with Tenn/Mizzou/LSU?

I'd be careful with that Bama and BYU fandom. The committee might jump both past the Ags and the Ags find themselves at #9 and on the road. Safe bet is let them both lose.

no way does BYU jump any legit 1 loss team

even then would still rather face them on the road than Bama/ND at home

Hope that OSU beats Indiana by 6 TDs or more. I could see the committee dropping them to 7 if they get absolutely boat raced. But I agree north Texas dropping Tulane out could help us also

I wouldn't underestimate the mental gymnastics of the committee. BYU would be a 1 loss team at 12-1 just having beaten #4. And the Bamas and NDs you are trying to avoid at home will be waiting next round. Wouldn't it be preferable to go ahead and play one the first round at home where there is an advantage?

I was cheering for UNT anyway. Three Texas teams in the playoff and none of them are tu is just more salt in the wound for sips.

Theyre too cowardly to drop darling Indiana out of a bye.

We are in the playoffs with a 1st round game at Kyle
Maximum Chaos is not really what we need

North Texas is legit. They crushed their opponents in the AAC. Offense is best in the country, defense is just OK. In their 1 loss, they had a stretch of 3 bad turnovers that just crushed them early in the 2nd half. Similar to the Marcel stretch in the late 2nd quarter against South Carolina. I think they cruise in the AAC title game and will give a real fight to whoever they draw in the playoffs.

I agree that Tulane should not be ranked, it is giving a stupid boost to Ole Miss currently. I'm not sure the difference between 6 and 7 isn't Tulane being ranked and Mizzou not being ranked.

This. If BYU and Bama win, we aren't hosting.

The concept of N Texas making the final 12 instead of the sips is hilarious.

What a boring suggestion. This season is gonna be so lame if Ohio State wins it all again. I for one am rooting for the underdogs

Knowing the Big Ten, its highly likely OSU has been given a talking to about running up the score.

UNT's O is legit. Both Tulane and UNT have very mid D. I think UNT wins like 42-28. They might even be able to put a scare into the 5 seed.
