CK needs to move on to his new job. He's a Kansas state wildcat now. He's got to get his family settled. Get his coaching staff together. He ain't got time for the playoffs.
Plus we need to audition the potential new guy for the job! I often wondered if the 2 guys you saw in the booth with him actually did anything, much less mske a suggestion

He'll be doing all of that this wk and next and yes, he will lose focus on what A&M is trying to do. Prob of being one and done just increased for us as this is a distraction for many players on offense esp our QB.

I guess Ohio State and Oregon will also be one and done then, right?

He's not going to get a championship run at his new gig, and what coach doesn't want to win it all? Plus it's good for his resume if he does well here. There's no reason to believe we won't have his full attention.

Not sure why people are making such a big deal about this - it's what happens in most cases. As somebody mentioned, numerous other schools are dealing with the same thing.

Those telling him to move on are just being emotional - it's dumb to trial run Wiggins during a playoff run. Klein isn't taking a lateral job - he's taking career advancement. There should be no spite here - the guy is still our best bet for this year.

Good for him. I was never a huge CK fan but I also wasn't a hater. I thought he was really good at times and also really bad at times. He is replaceable and I don't think we miss a beat next year with someone new.

It's amazing how many people think it's okay to lie, even in public, and have zero accountability. It would have been so easy to say "I'm not going to publicly address our ongoing coaching search," but he chose to lie to everyone's faces instead. Why? It's just such a low character move. I would get kicked out of press conferences for pointing this out, I guess.

Oh, lighten up. Anyone with half a brain knew what was happening and he "refuted" it in a way that was absurd so we could all (well, maybe not all, I guess) not have to hear the same old "no comment" that has 0 personality to it. It was at least worth a chuckle with a wink and some finger guns.

This is so dumb.

First off, he doesn't strike me as the type to half ass anything.

And second, Klein with his mind 90% on A&M is still our best option for now.

Again, are you predicting OSU to falter from Hartline doing the same thing? What about Oregon with Stein?

Saban replaced coordinators every year. That's the goal for a head coach. Great move by Klein, and congratulations. He wants to win a natty and will do everything he can the next several weeks. He got caught a few times this year trying to make things look pretty instead of shoving, but with his second tier recruits at K State, he won't have the luxury of "spreading the ball around" and diversifying the offense. It will be about getting the ball to playmakers and downhill running. I hope he has a great career there.

Good for Klein and hard to hold any hard feelings for him leaving us for his alma mater and a promotion. I am happy we were able to grab him while we could.

I'm stoked for him. People are idiots with their hate and venom and are absolutely clueless about a reality that they know very little about and doesn't involve them. I also think he'll be extremely motivated to have a winning game plan in place for the playoffs in an attempt for the natty.

I'm not so sure it is about lying, thought that's what it is,

but the pervasive social media trend of being flippant with quips, one-liners, or some wisecrack that earns highest approval amongst the dolts who spend their days absorbing content.

But there are definitely better ways to do it. For example, Lane Kiffin did not do it a better way.
