No he isnt. Nowadays you may only get 2-3 years at a stop and be sent packing if you dont get it done. Kleins number 1 priority is KSU now. This is not good for ATM.

When we lost we dropped 4 spots from 3 to 7. If Tech loses and they drop from 4 to 8 with Big 12 Champ BYU moving up to 7, we would likely be the 6 seed hosting Virginia or JMU. May not happen but it should.

If Tech and Georgia win, we probably stay at 7 hosting 10 seed Alabama, while ou hosts Miami. ND would be out and I think they want to avoid bama vs ou again. We probably get 2 seed Georgia in the sugar Bowl in that case.

Elko making a big mistake.

He is talking to k St fans. I promise you A&M and the playoffs will get his full attention. First he cannot recruit in December. But Klein has worked 2 years with these players. Look, Collin Klein is a young man with a HUGE OPPORTUNITY that will paint his path for the next 25 years. He has coaches to hire, players to contact, future plans to map. You really think he is going to lay that aside while he gives his current-soon-to-be-former players his all? Really???

So the offensive staff that's not going with him will do the planning and prep work and he will call plays.

You let him coach. For one thing, he's not gonna poach any players because no player would leave A&M for Kansas State if they are smart. 2nd, he wants to finish what he started at A&M with this playoff appearance and knows this may be his best chance at a Natty for a very long time because Kansas State wont be in this position any time soon. He'll be focused, you can believe that.

Everyone knows what working after putting in your two weeks looks like. His priorities are now at his next job and his future relies on him setting himself up for success there.

Can't think of a better advertisement for KState football than A&M winning a few rounds with Klein overseeing the offense.

He's not an accountant. He's in the cfp and knows he may never get there again in his career. Kstate isn't exactly where coaches go to make the playoffs. He's going to want to win badly with his chance here

When I've put my two week notice in previously, my priorities have always been to ensure there is a smooth and thorough transition to set my teammates up for future success - My teammates who I've worked with side by side for years to achieve certain goals.

I don't know that you cut bait but I agree with your second point. He lacked a little maturity as a play caller. Couldn't recognize when to roll the dice and when to play it safer. That's something that comes with experience, and he lacked that

It's just commonplace now for hired coordinators to do this. As someone said, Oregon and Ohio State are in the same situation. We will see who it impacts the least and then we can evaluate the ramifications.


He has plenty of time to wear both hats. I'm sure right now it's the KState hat since we don't even have an opponent. the calendar is in our favor. I suspect he will be dialed in with his staff sometime this coming week.

My advice, do the same thing you'd do if Klein came in and said he's ready to half-ass his work.

Klein and Wiggins do know each other. This is not an either/or situation. As I said before, I expect Wiggins to be heavily involved with Klein's support. If A&M loses it won't be because of this...
